Margaret L. Cattell, age 89, of Edmore, died peacefully at her home, with her family at her side, on November 9, 2018.
Margaret was born in Evergreen Township on May 31, 1929, the daughter of Mark and Evelyn B. (Webb) Denman. She was preceded in death by her husbands Duane Braman and Raymond Cattell.
Margaret was a farm wife at heart, but loved to travel. She and Duane had traveled many places including Hawaii and she and Raymond had driven their motorhome out west, stopping many places, including Las Vegas. She loved to gamble, whether it was in Vegas or a local casino, she would be found playing the slots or even some black jack. She enjoyed traveling to Canada to fish as well She really enjoyed dancing, and had spent many evenings dancing at the old Wooden Keg. She loved baking and cooking, especially her great pies.
Margaret is survived by her children, Diane (Tony) Garcia of Stanton, Carol (Dick) Snyder of Edmore, Jim (Diane) Braman of Edmore, Duane (Janice) Braman of Stanton, and Linda (Terry) Ryan of Stanton; 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; her half brother, Mark Denman; her sisters, Uvonah Gwozdz of Greenville and Bonnie Alexander of Sheridan; and her step father, Dorance Lintz of Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty Garforth.
A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held 12-2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, at the Barden Funeral Home in Stanton. You may come and go to visit as you can. There will be a luncheon at 2 p.m. at the VFW Post in Sheridan. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
