Jan was a devoted nurse up until she retired in 2004. In the times Jan wasn’t enjoying time with family, you could find her embroidering, crocheting, sewing, arranging puzzles, playing solitaire, solving sudoku, and talking on the phone to loved ones.
Jan will be laid to rest at the North Star Cemetery in North Star Michigan surrounded by angels. Public graveside services will be at 12 noon on Tuesday, May 26. Jan’s wish would be for memorial contributions to be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Jan made an impact on everyone that she crossed paths with throughout her 73 years of time on this earth, by her joyous laugh, warming presence, whit, kindness, and dedication to Christ. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by the eternal love and eminent inspiration she’s paved the way for... “Heritage is what you give to somebody, legacy is what you do in somebody.”-Dr. James Dobson. Jan Felton was the epitome of what is means to be a light for others. She loved everybody so well, and never took anything for granted. It is by her perfect legacy that she will outlive her life.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was shocked when Jan's obituary came to me by email. My sister, Jane, was a close friend, and I have shared with her. Please accept my condolences. God's blessings and peace to the family.

My deepest sympathies at hearing the news of Jan's passing. I last visited with Jan at Woodland Park in Ithaca at Kristen and Rob's reception and as always the compassionate nurse came to the aid of a child who fell at the playscape. I cherish that Jan welcomed me into her family. I will miss her smile, her warmth, her care, her love. Love to all the family. You will be remembered in prayers and in my heart.
Love,
Barb and Nancy
