Michael Allen “Mick” Lott, age 77, of St. Louis, died peacefully in the evening hours of July 3, 2021, at the home of his daughter in St. Johns, surrounded by his family.
Mick was born March 16, 1944 in Detroit, the son of Francis Alvin and Alice Elizabeth (DeRosia) Lott. He graduated form Saint Louis High School in 1965 and served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the Big Red One with a rank of E-5. He married Kay Frances Miller in Ithaca on September 12, 1970. He then worked for Aircraft Precision in Ithaca for thirty years.
Mick enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping, but mostly loved visiting and talking with people at Petticoat Junction or wherever he would meet you. He enjoyed going to the casino and playing Solitaire on his phone.
Mick is survived by his wife of fifty years, Kay; his children, Amy (Darren) Malburg of Brant, Tera (Aaron) Halfmann of St. Johns, and Terry Lott of Russellville, Ala; his grandchildren, Lyndsie, Evalynn, Gabriel, Abigail, Sophia, and Garrick; and his brothers and sisters, Gerald (Nancy) Lott, Sylvia Loomis, Robert (Carol) Lott, and Frances (Dennis) Springstead; and a special nephew, Trecy Lott. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters and brother, Patricia Lott, David Lott, and Roxanne Lott.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca with The Reverend Christina Jensen officiating. Interment will follow in Ithaca Cemetery.
