Dale Everett Jorae age 61 of Sumner, Michigan passed away peacefully at home on January 28th, 2025.

Dale was born January 2nd, 1964 in St. Johns, Michigan to Carol Ann and Oliver Anthony Jorae. He was a high school graduate of Carson City High School and worked as an auto mechanic for most of his life. 

He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and enjoyed mushrooming with his son and grandsons. He really enjoyed fishing for trout, steelhead, and king salmon. Frequenting Ionia, Perry Creek, and little Manistee rivers to fish. Like any good mushroom hunter, he didn’t give out his spots but enjoyed areas in Belding, Harrison and Leota. As it got later in life, after being an auto mechanic, Dale had taken up carpentry as a hobby. He lastly worked as a meat processor and really enjoyed his line of work.

Dale is survived by his children Anthony Jorae (Randi Warner) of Alma, MI and Tara Herald (Dustin Reist) of Alma, MI. He was a proud papa of Gage Jorae, Greyson Reist, Willow Reist, and Parker Jorae. Dale is also survived by his mother, Carol Ann Mathers; sisters Julia (Ken) Bogart, Geraldine (Jeff) Simmons, Mary Jo (Ed) Woodward, and brothers Dave (Charlene) Jorae, and Duane Jorae. He also had many nieces, nephews, and friends who were all dear to him. He is proceeded in death by his father, Oliver Anthony Jorae. 

Dale has been cremated by the wishes of the family and a memorial is set to take place at a later date.
