Richard C. (Dick) Stull Sr.
Richard C. (Dick) Stull Sr., 85, of Stanton went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born on November 20, 1927 in Lansing to LaVerne and Ethel (Labadie) Stull. He worked at Oldsmobile in Lansing for 34 years.
On July 6, 1947 he married MaryLou Dixon in Lansing. They raised 3 children and had 59 happy years together until MaryLou's passing in 2007.
On October 4, 2008 he got a second chance at happiness by marrying June (Rohn) Getts in Stanton. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, bowling, Bingo, and fishing. He loved to travel with his wives and see new places. He was an artist that displayed his paintings at many Art Shows and Art Sales. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 5065 of Sheridan. He loved to learn more, laugh, and be with his family. He loved his Lord and enjoyed attending Hope Lutheran Church and Evergreen Free Methodist of Sheridan.
Dick is survived by his wife, June; his children, Richard Stull, Charles and Gayle Stull all of Stanton, and Cheryl and Bill Farnum of Lake; Kathleen and Emory Nichols of Sidney, Jeannette Getts- Shaver of Greenville, and Wade Getts of Stanton; 35 Grandchildren; several Great and Great Grandchildren; His Sister, Irene and John Doane of Lowell; and several special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, MaryLou.
Dick's family will greet friends from 1 - 3 and 5 - 7 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Barden Funeral Home, Stanton. A celebration of Dick's life will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 11 am also at Barden Funeral Home. Pastor Steven Voelker from Hope Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Stanton. The Honor Guard from VFW Post 5065 will perform the military funeral honors. For those desiring to do so, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Hope Lutheran Church Food Pantry, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

I was deeply saddened by the news of your grandfather's passing. You have my prayerful and sincere sympathy on your loss.
The Bible says "Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. I know that this will be especially true for you because of your strong and abiding faith.
