Mable was born April 6, 1924 the daughter of Daniel and Mable (Woollard) Moulton. She grew up in a rural Merrill. Mable attended Central Michigan Teacher’s College and taught elementary school in Merrill Community Schools until she was married. On June 26, 1948 she married Robert C. Dayringer. She loved working with Bob on their farm. Whether she was driving tractor, combine or truck, she was good at it. Bob preceded her in death on September 19, 1996, after 48 years of marriage. Mable enjoyed traveling. She wintered in Ellenton, Florida for several years. Prior to Bob’s death they enjoyed trips to Europe and Hawaii. Later Mable took several trips and cruises with her sister-in-law Jane Moulton. She also was a member of Lafayette Presbyterian Church for 60 years. She also attended Edgewood Church of God for several years. Family was her life. She was very close to her nieces and nephews. Several generations of nieces and nephews enjoyed receiving birthday cards from Aunt Mable. She enjoyed nothing more than hosting family dinners, and bridal and baby showers where she entertained with fun games she dreamed up. She was a very good card player who giggled in glee when she won, and she won often. She was an excellent cook, well known her custard, chocolate sheet cake and macaroni and cheese.
Mable is survived by her children Robert (Debbie) Dayringer and Jeanne Chaffin; Grandchildren Stephanie (Mitch) Browne, Shelly (Josh Allen) Morrison, Sarah (Cameron) Harrison, Ben (Alyssa) Chaffin, and Josh (Wendi) Chaffin; Great-grandchildren Emma and Trent Browne, Tristian Dayringer, Kali Morrison, Teyah and Bella Allen, Dylan and Connor Harrison, Asher, Titus, Zeke, Glee and Vivian Chaffin; Great-great grandchildren Rosie and Lilah; Sister-in-law Jane Moulton and several nieces and nephews. She also left behind the excellent family of staff at Arbor Grove who loved and respected her, even though she usually beat them in their daily games of Uno.
She is pre-deceased by her parents, husband Bob, in-laws Walter and Bessie (Bare) Dayringer, infant daughter Diane, Son-in-law Mark Chaffin, Brothers: Willard (Estelita) Moulton, Tom (Vera) Moulton, Ernest Moulton and three sisters: Agnes (Finus) Smelley, Harriet (Mills) Wilbur, and Marian (Warren) Turbin; brother-in-law Harold (Virginia) Dayringer and sister-in-law Betty (Russell) Howes.
