Melvin Frederic Baracy, age 83 of Ithaca, passed away January 28, 2017 at Masonic Pathways. Born in North Star Township on the family farm on March 18, 1933 to Charles and Helen (Derry) Baracy. He was of Slovakian and German descent.
He resided most of his life on his farm on Croswell Rd. He was an avid horseman. He was very proud of his Baracy - Beracy family, as well as his Masonic Fraternity brothers. Special thanks to Jim and Billie Kench for all the love and care given to him so he was able to stay at the family farm as long as he did.
He is survived by a son Gari (Jayne) Baracy; daughter Juli Baracy Griswold; grandchildren Ashli Baracy (Mike) Jordan, Danielle Griswold, Charles J.S. Griswold, Heath Baracy; great grandchildren Ava, Ella, and Noah.
He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Linda (Pratt) Baracy and his son-in-law Kirk S. Griswold.
A memorial service will be held and a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to J. Baracy. 219 West Seaver St. Ithaca, MI 48847
