Scott Monroe
Scott Allan Monroe, 59, of Ithaca, died recently in his home. He was born September 9, 1964 to Robert N. and Linda Monroe. Scott graduated from Ithaca High School in 1983 and held jobs with Petticoat Junction in Alma, Michigan and also as a custodian with the Alma School System.
He is survived by a stepdaughter, Anya; son, Lance; daughter, Tasia; mother, Linda; sister, Jennifer; and brother, Mark.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Robert.
Scott loved living in the house that had belonged to his maternal grandparents, Edward and Donna Macha
He was very interested in his family history and ancestry, keeping many pictures and mementos of relatives on the walls of his home and workshop. That same workshop was home to some of his woodworking projects that he enjoyed giving as gifts to friends and family. His friends were very important to him and he was generous in lending his time or physical help whenever needed. Scott’s kind heart and loyal friendship will be missed by those near and dear to him.
A memorial service for family and close friends is planned for the spring of 2024, date and location yet to be decided. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Love Inc will be greatly appreciated.
The family is being served by the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.bardenfuneralhome.com.

That man truely loved life, even as hard as life can be at times. Every time I saw him,he always had a smile on his face, always a good joke,it's like he knew I was having a bad day and he would do everything he could do to possibly pick me up out of my rut I was in .
I was very fortunate to have met Scott all those yrs ago.
He went from being a friend, to being a brother I never had, a true member of my family.
He's going to be truely missed
Rest in peace dear brother of mine,I'll see you someday I promise.
