Penny became my big sister the moment we met in 2008. As the intern at our church, everyone was new to me, but her and Rob became friends right away. Throughout the years, Penny remained close to my family and when my mother was transitioning 2023, Penny texted me everyday to make sure I was okay... even in the middle of her own battle. I'm truly sad about her not being here, but I know she's in a better place, along with my mother. My prayers to my brother Rob, and to their amazing children and grandchildren. Heartbroken!
This loss will leave a hole in this world. Penny is the one everyone wants to be like. Beautiful both on the inside & out. Her calming spirit & encouraging words will be forever remembered by me. I had the privilege of driving back from Gladwin with her one day a couple of years ago and that time will be a treasure in my heart forever🩷 I am so sorry to the ones she left behind, her family was everything to her and her obituary was beautifully written to express that.

Penny was a beautiful soul who I’ve known many decades as a fellow 1980 graduate of IHS. She was compassionate & kind to all who knew her. Her daughter, Megan is a former speech-language pathology student who I had the great pleasure & honor to mentor & guide during her graduate program. My deepest condolences to Penny’s family during their time of grief & mourning. Prayers for comfort & healing, keeping loving, happy memories of Penny in their hearts.
